Access

Description

Take the tarmac road following the arrow for the Trappa and begin to enter a secondary valley; the road becomes cobbled and begins to gain altitude. After about 30 minutes, you come to a small widening (piano dell'Asino), where you take the path off to the left (signpost). The path gains height with a few hairpin bends until it comes out on a grassy ledge at a few houses. Follow the path bordered by a few low walls and, skirting a last construction, you will arrive at the wide Trappa construction. At the Trappa, take the small dirt road that soon leads to the Tracciolino, where you turn left, cross the bridge over the Elvo river and, after a straight stretch, a path (C1) branches off to the right that climbs into the woods with a series of bends. When the path comes out of the wood, it becomes less marked, but it is sufficient to continue straight on, using the small stone wall on the left as a reference point, to arrive easily at the Cammale alpine pasture building. Leaving the building to the right, follow the wide path that in about ten minutes comes out onto the dirt road serving the various farmsteads on the Salvine. Take the road to cross the Salvine, until it begins to lose height, returning to the Tracciolino. For the descent, there are different possibilities: the first is to follow the Tracciolino back to the Trappa, or at the junction between the Tracciolino and the road that descends from the Salvine, take a path that passes through the small hamlet of Bagneri and returns to Sordevolo downstream from where you left your car.
